Stephen
Finch is
a registered patent attorney at the United States
Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to
the bars of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Prior to founding his own firm in 2005, Steve was an associate at the Boston intellectual
property law firm of Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks.
Steve's office is in Concord, New Hampshire.
Steve Finch received his Juris Doctor and Masters in Intellectual
Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1999 and a Bachelor’s degree
in chemistry/biochemistry and math-economics from
Colby College in 1983.
From 1983 until
1995 Steve was a principal and employee at Dexsil Corporation where
he was involved in a variety of functions including management,
sales, marketing and R&D. During his time at Dexsil, Steve developed
and marketed test kits and instrumentation for the detection of
hazardous materials in oil, soil and water.
Steve Finch has written and prosecuted patent
applications for a
wide range of clients including sole inventors, start-ups,
universities and Fortune 500 companies. He has written
patent applications in fields such as polymers and
plastics, membranes, filtration, water purification, ceramics,
drug discovery, medical devices, analytical test
kits, machinery, paints and varnishes, fuel cells,
nanotechnology and business methods.
Steve and
his family live in Concord, NH where he coaches youth
sports and is active in the community. Steve is currently
an adjunct professor at Pierce
Law where
he teaches patent claim drafting.
